Jodi Jones is Chief Executive Officer of Innovative Education Management. Jodi began her work with charter schools in 1997 working in the database department with one of California’s original charter schools, Horizon Instructional Systems which was the start of IEM. As of December 2017, Jodi Jones re-joined the IEM team.
As Chief Executive Officer, Jodi Jones is responsible for the overall organizational and academic success of IEM and IEM schools. She also serves as the point of contact for external entities.
Jodi returns to IEM having worked over 15 years with a wide variety of charter schools and authorizers across California. She has worked through all phases of non-profit charter school operations and fiscal management. She has worked collaboratively with governing agencies, county offices and charter leaders to navigate the local and statewide political landscape.
Prior to accepting the IEM position Jodi worked as the COO for Delta Managed Solutions (DMS), supporting over 30 charter schools across the State of California. During her nearly six years with DMS, she successfully developed a highly trained financial team and worked to expand core business services including monthly financial reporting tools. While at DMS Jodi supported multiple charters through challenges such as charter start-up and renewal, budget shortfalls, cash flow shortages, audits, facility plan development, financing and MOU negotiations.
Jodi received her Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management and is a member of the California Association of School Business Officials. Jodi has the expertise and skills to keep IEM on its current path of financial and legal stability. She has come back to IEM to continue her work of providing students with a customized education driven by parent choice.
